Daniels Jewelers Corporate Offices
Daniels Jewelers Whittier location
“Took my ring in after purchasing to fix a missing diamond and was told on two separate occasions my ring is totally fine when I can clearly see a diamond is missing. I said I have insurance to cover it but they said why would they pay for a diamond that is already there, Incredibly rude. I asked them to compare it to another ring and had to wait a week for it to come in. When we compared it you can clearly see there’s a difference but now she is saying there isn’t a whole it’s just a big prong, convenient. But I can see through my ring so there is a whole. She said she would exchange the rings without charging us but made a point to repeat that there is no whole and we are wrong. This experience makes me never want to shop at Daniels Jewelers again. Maria is a manager and I expected her to be able to understand the difference between a whole and a prong. She even used her 22 years of experience as back up. So disappointing and I hope someone can get back to me on this issue.” -

Ulta -High Mark-Ups
“In 2008 my wife and I bought a bracelet from Romanoos Jewelry in Carmel, California. The cost was $12,000. Alas, this was done in the heat of the moment. It is beautiful, but we changed our mind about keeping it a few months later. Ramonoos would not take it back, even for $3,000. So, I went to six or seven jewelers in my area (Menlo Park, Palo Alto, CA), trying to get at least $3,000. I couldn't. The highest offer I got was $1,250, which I didn't accept. I have since found that Carmel (and places of like charm) are notorious for exorbitant mark-ups. Be careful. \n”
